Black Bean Burgers

So for the most part, I have always tried to post 'true' vegan recipes. This one could also be vegan, but i do like to put an egg in to the mixture to help it bind everything together. If you dont want to, you just have to work with the patties carefully, to keep them from breaking.

Black Bean Burgers:

1 15oz can black beans, drained, rinsed, and semi pressed until mostly dry
1 egg
about 1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 sweet onion, minced
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 roma tomato, small diced
2 pablano peppers, roasted, skinned, and seeded (or one small can green chilies) minced
1/2 bunch cilantro
1 jalapeno, seeded & minced
1/2 cup flour, split in half
1 tsp grnd cumin
1 tsp grnd coriander
2 tsp smoked paprika
2 tsp chili powder
dash salt
2 tbl ketchup
2 tbl sweet chili sauce

mix all the ingredients in a bowl, retaining half of the flour (about 1/4 cup). if mixture is too wet, add more breadcrumbs until it forms easily in to a ball. form patties and dredge in the remaining flouur. fry on one side for about 5 minutes, then flip and put the pan in the oven @ 400 degrees for about 10 minutes. Top with sauteed peppers & onions. Enjoy.
